    ‘A strange feeling’: James Ward-Prowse reveals true thoughts about Nottingham Forest loan move

    The Englishman was viewed as the ideal midfield option to cover for Danilo’s injury and Ibrahim Sangare’s subsequent absence, so Forest signed him on deadline day in the summer. However, there was always a sense that the West Ham United loanee could be more than just a squad player due to his Premier League and international experience, and this feeling seemed to be confirmed when Ward-Prowse starred in Forest’s victory over Liverpool. James Ward-Prowse won’t be remembered as having a significant impact at Nottingham Forest, a move he seems to want to forget just as much as he did.But Ward-Prowse never had the effect that his Liverpool performance suggested, and during the winter transfer window, West Ham brought him back.Nuno Espirito Santo stated that Ward-Prowse’s recall was in everyone’s best interests, and judging by his most recent remarks regarding the loan transfer and his return to West Ham, the free-kick maestro obviously agreed.

    James Ward-Prowse was ‘happy’ to end his Nottingham Forest spell

    Forest was loaded in the center of midfield even without Ward-Prowse, so it made perfect sense to terminate his loan when Sangare and Danilo returned from injury. The 30-year-old stated clearly that he was happy to leave the City Ground in an interview with the official West Ham website.

    “I’m glad to be back!” exclaimed Ward-Prowse. Leaving the club in the first place was obviously an odd emotion and circumstance, but that’s football.

    I feel that the entire experience off the field and the various tests I’ve had to go through have helped me today, even though the past few months haven’t been as productive for me personally as I would have liked on the field.
